Realme has debuted it’s 2019 budget-friendly smartphone, Realme 3 (review), in India at an unbelievable price. The phone comes with dual rear cameras and Realme will sell a Diamond-cut design back cover separately. It is powered by MediaTek’s nouveau chipset with feature-rich software on top of. The 3 would take on the heavy competition from the Redmi Note 7 and Samsung Galaxy M10. And pretty soon, Realme 3 Pro would be arriving in April.
Realme 3 Features
Aesthetically, this one has replaced the wide notch with the tinier dewdrop cutout. This houses a 13MP selfie shooter which also facilitates Facial scan. The large Full HD+ display comes with the Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The phone is out in three elegant colors, i.e. Dynamic Black, Radiant Blue, and Black. At the back, you have the dual camera setup with a 13MP primary shooter accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor. Videography could be done in 1080p resolution with additional support for 90fps/720P slow-mo video-shooting as well.
The company also touts its own Nightscape iteration within the camera app. You could also try Google camera as there is native support of Camera API 2.0. There is a fingerprint scanner placed adjacent to the camera panel.

Under the hood, Realme 3 employs Mediatek Helio P70 that runs Android 9 Pie based Color OS 6.0. The chipset is known to fare well in performance and the software’s galore of features would add to the experience. For gamers, Realme has introduced Game space, a game optimization service with add ons like do-not-disturb mode, brightness lock. Interestingly enough, Realme 3 would have an unlocked bootloader from day 1.

You could expect a good battery life out of the 4230mAh battery. But to refuel it, you get no fast charging support. The company has baked in Control Adaptive Brightness Control screen optimization mode to enhance battery life. Right next to the micro USB port where you insert the cable, you could find the 3.5mm headphone jack too.
It features dual 4G VoLTE and an expandable memory slot compatible up to 256GB. As for the memory options, you get 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB onboard storage variants.
Realme 3 Pricing and Availability
Realme 3 will be available exclusively via Flipkart starting March 12th, 12 noon. You could grab the 3GB RAM plus 32GB onboard storage variant for Rs. 8,999 while the higher 4GB RAM plus 64GB inbuilt storage model would be on sale for Rs. 10,999.
This price is, however, for the first million users.
As a part of the launch offers, you could avail flat Rs 500 off HDFC bank cards and EMI. Realme has also partnered with Jio and get benefits up to Rs 5300.
