POCO has already confirmed that it is planning to launch several AIoT products in the upcoming year. While POCO Pop Buds TWS and a POCO smartwatch have already been confirmed, the latest we are hearing is that POCO might be launching its first-ever laptop soon.

A Redmi G Series laptop battery has been spotted by Mukul Sharma, as getting certified by BIS. This hints towards a future launch of a POCO laptop.

Meanwhile, the POCO X4 and POCO X4 NFC has been spotted on the IMEI listing yesterday. POCO X4 and POCO X4 NFC were spotted with model numbers 2201116P1 and 2201116PG respectively and are expected to be launched along with POCO X4 GT and POCO X4 Pro models, making it a series of 4 smartphones.

The POCO X4 Series will be a successor to the POCO X3 lineup. Tipster Mukul Sharma has now shared the models that will come to India and their expected launch timelines.

POCO Laptop Expectations

Battery spotted on BIS listing

The above image shows a Redmi G Series laptop battery with build number G16B01W being listed on the BIS, that too under POCO’s branding. It is a 3620mAh cell meant for replacing the battery of Redmi G and Redmi G gaming laptops. This suggests that POCO might also be coming up with a gaming laptop.

BIS Listing

The specs of the upcoming laptop will depend on whether the company decides to rebrand the Redmi G Series laptops or whether POCO would just use this battery for an entirely new product.

If it gets rebranded, then it will be expected to have a 16.1-inch 144Hz refresh rate display with 11th gen intel Core i5/Ryzen 7 5800 processors. It will have 16GB RAM and 512GB storage as well as a 55Wh battery.

POCO X4 Series Launch Timeline

The POCO X4 NFC is expected to debut in global markets in the first quarter of 2022. But nothing has been confirmed about it as of now. And by the way, the POCO X4 vanilla variant is expected to arrive in India in the first quarter of 2022.

POCO X4 Leaked render

POCO X4 NFC for European regions has already entered the testing phase and an announcement is expected in early 2022. The POCO X4 GT is likely to be made for the global markets. And POCO X4 Pro is in the works but it will be a while before we hear more about it. Whenever it launches, X4 Pro is expected to hit the Indian markets too.

So, for now, POCO X4 and POCO X4 Pro are the 2 models in the series that are expected to come to India just like the last time when POCO X3 and POCO X3 Pro had come to India.
