The Google Pixel 7 series is finally launching on October 6. As we inch closer to the launch (or it might have launched depending upon when you are reading this), the series packs in Tensor G2 SoC from Google and will be launched in two variants – Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, for which we already have a series of leaked specs sheets. However, how does a vanilla Google Pixel 7 compare to other flagship phones available in the market as of now? Let’s find out more about Google Pixel 7 and how it will compete against five bigwigs – Apple iPhone 14, Samsung Galaxy S22, OnePlus 10 Pro, Moto Edge 30 Ultra, and iQOO 9T.

Google Pixel 7

It’s quite obvious that you’d need the specs for the primary phone that you would be compared with, right? Well, here’s what the Google Pixel 7 is likely (or already has) onboard in terms of the specifications.

Google Pixel 7

At the moment, we are not 100% of the specs but hey, these are based on trusted sources. So, Google Pixel 7 will get a 6.3” OLED FHD+ 90Hz panel with a Google Tensor G2 SoC under the hood which is 10-20% faster than the first-gen SoC. There’s a 4700mAh battery under the hood backed with 30W fast charging. You have 8GB of RAM with up to 256GB of storage onboard.

There’s a 50MP+12MP dual rear camera setup at the back while the front houses an 11MP shooter. Perhaps, you will be stunned by the picture quality that the Google Pixel series bring thanks to their exceptional computational photography chops.

Google Pixel 7 Pricing: On the pricing side, the phone is likely to launch in India with a base price of INR 60,000/- although that remains to be seen as of now. You can check out this comparison on October 6th for official specs and pricing.

Apple iPhone 14

The latest from Apple, iPhone 14 is the base variant in the iPhone 14 series powered by the Apple A15 Bionic chipset that has 6 CPU and 5 GPU cores. You have iOS 16 out of the box with the phone. There’s a 6.1” Super Retina XDR OLED panel with a regular notch onboard housing a 12MP TrueDepth camera. There’s a dual rear camera setup housing a 12MP+12MP snapper which is similar to the predecessor although slightly improved.

Apple has included an IP68 rating along with a durable Ceramic Shield at the front to safeguard the precious display tech. You get a stereo speaker setup, 3279 mAh battery, Satellite Connectivity, UWB Support, Crash Detection, and 15W MagSafe wireless support among others. You can choose between Red, Blue, Starlight, Purple, and Midnight colorways with the same.

iPhone 14 Pricing: The iPhone 14 is priced in India at INR 79,900/- for the base 128GB variant. Its 256GB and 512GB variants go on sale at INR 89,900/- and INR 1,09,000/-.

Samsung Galaxy S22

Samsung Galaxy S22 series launched earlier in 2022 powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC which is a flagship SoC. It brings onboard a 6.1” 2X Dynamic AMOLED 120Hz panel with Corning Gorilla Victus+ on top. It’s IP68 water resistant and the phone has an armor aluminum frame that offers scratch and drops protection. There’s 8GB RAM with 1258/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on Android 12-powered OneUI 4.1.1 out-of-the-box.

Samsung Galaxy S22

On the optics, we have a 50+10+12MP triple rear camera with a 10MP front camera setup. There’s a stereo speaker, a 3700mAh battery, 25W fast charging and 15W Qi wireless support, and USB-C 3.2, among other features. You can choose between BOra Purple, Violet, Cream, Sky Blue, Graphite, Green, Pink Gold, Whtie, and Phantom Black colorways.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Pricing: The Samsung Galaxy S22 packs in 128GB storage at INR 62,999/- while the 256GB variant is available on Samsung India’s official website at INR 66,999/-. Note that Samsung is throwing in some crazy discounts on its Galaxy S22 series phones so you will get a much better deal with the purchase.

OnePlus 10 Pro

OnePlus 10 Pro is one of the best flagship smartphones you can choose from as a tough competitor to Google Pixel 7 and all other phones mentioned here. It sports a 6.7” LTPO2 Fluid AMOLED 120Hz display housing 1300 nits peak brightness and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. There’s a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood just as Galaxy S22 but you get 8GB and 12GB RAM variants while the storage trims are 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.

OnePlus 10 Pro

Moving on, we have a 32MP front alongside a 48+8+50MP rear triple camera setup. On the battery pack, we have a 5000mAh battery paired alongside 80W fast charging tech, a stereo speaker setup, Type-C 3.1, and Wi-Fi 6 among others. Finally, you can choose from Panda White, Emerald Forest, and Volcanic Black colorways available with the OnePlus 10 Pro.

OnePlus 10 Pro Pricing: You buy the OnePlus 10 pr at INR 61,999/- for the 8GB+128GB variant while the higher 12GB+256GB variant goes on sale at INR 66,999/-.

Moto Edge 30 Ultra

The finest from Motorola, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra brings onboard a 6.67” FHD+ OLED 144Hz display with 1500Hz touch sampling rate, 1250 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+. It uses a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC which is currently the highest in the hierarchy until Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 arrives. There’s up to 12GB RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage available in the market as well.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra

Moving on to the optics side, we have a 200+12+50MP rear triple camera setup making it the world’s first smartphone to feature a 200MP camera. There’s also a 60MP front camera onboard capable of taking 4K resolution videos. There’s a 4,610mAh battery backup under the hood paired alongside 125W fast charging tech and 50W wireless charging support as well.

Moto Edge 30 Ultra Pricing: When it comes to pricing, we have an 8GB+128GB sole storage variant available at INR 59,999/-. Although there are rumors about a 12GB variant too but it hasn’t arrived in the markets as of now.

iQOO 9T 5G

iQOO 9T brings onboard a 6.78” E5 AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz 1500 nits display with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. You have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage. There’s Android 12-powered Funtouch 12 out-of-the-box. iQOO 9T sports a triple rear camera setup housing 50+12+13MP snappers while the front has a 16MP selfie shooter.

Moving on, we get a 4,700mAh battery pack onboard paired alongside 120W fast charging tech. There’s stereo speakers support, Wi-Fi 6, USB-C 2.0, and UD fingerprint scanner among other techs.
