Oppo Watch 2 with Snapdragon Wear 4100 and AMOLED screen to launch on July 27

Upcoming OPPO watch 2 is in the news today with the announcement of its launch date in China. The Chinese tech giant teased the Oppo Watch 2 during the launch of the Oppo Reno 6 launch following that it has confirmed the launch date in China. The OPPO watch 2 will go official in China on July 27. A week before the official launch OPPO has confirmed eSIM support for the Watch 2. Here’s everything we know about the OPPO Watch 2 so far:

OPPO Watch 2 Key Specs and Features (Rumored)

While Oppo is keeping all the cards close to its heart, JD.com, an e-commerce platform in China has created the OPPO Watch 2 listing revealing its design and key features much before official announcement.

So, as per the listing, the Oppo Watch will be offered in two dial sizes – 42mm and 46mm with a square dial with rounded corners. The watch will be available with both silicone and leather straps. The unofficial listing also reveals eSIM support which is also confirmed by OPPO in its teaser post. Presence of eSIM support means users may use it without keep it always synced with their smartphone. Moreover, listing also highlights presence of Apollo 4S secondary chip for better power efficiency.

If previous leaks are anything to go by, the Oppo Watch 2 will be driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 coupled with 4GB of RAM. It will run on Google’s Wear OS platform along with Real Time Operating System (RTOS) to preserve battery. The Watch 2 is said to come with IPX5 certification for water and dust resistance. OPPO is likely to offer 50 sports modes for tracking fitness activities. It will also be able to monitor sleep and heart rate.

OPPO Watch 2 Price and Availability (Expected)

OPPO is expected to reveal official pricing of the Watch 2 on July 27. We expect OPPO to price it higher this year. In 2020, OPPO launched its first smart watch which was later released in India for Rs 14,990. The OPPO Watch 2 is expected to be priced around 20,000.
