A few days ago, Oppo launched its 2024 flagships, the Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro, in China. While both the phones sport the newly-launched Dimensity 9400 SoC, they also feature a top-tier camera system. The lineup offers everything from a high refresh-rate display to massive batteries and a refined software experience, but one thing is missing: a compact flagship.

Oppo Find X8 mini To Arrive With Find X8 Ultra

With the X200 lineup, Vivo (Oppo’s sister company) launched a ‘mini’ flagship with best-in-class specifications but a smaller form factor. Well, guess what? It looks like Oppo has a ‘mini’ flagship in the pipeline. According to renowned Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, Oppo could launch the “Find X8 Ultra + Find X Next” next spring.

The tipster believes that the “Find X Next” is none other than the “X8 mini,” a “small screen flagship.” Interestingly, the tipster’s Weibo post corroborates the information provided by tipster Smart Pikachu, who stated (a couple of days ago) that the Find X8 series could get two more entrants.

Expect The ‘mini’ Flagship To Arrive Around March 2025

Coming back to the Find X8 mini’s launch timeline, the phone could arrive “next spring.” Given that the Chinese spring season lasts from March to June, we can expect the Find X8 mini to launch between these months (likely toward March). Further, previous reports suggest that the Find X8 Ultra could arrive in the first quarter of 2025, so a launch in March is quite possible.
