In 2018, Oppo started a new flagship under the ‘Oppo Find’ series, namely the Oppo Find X Series of smartphones. First launched in Paris in 2018 as Oppo Find X2, the smartphones under the Find X tag feature a different design and a mechanical pop-up camera for a better photography experience. After launching the Oppo Find X6 Series in March 2023, the brand is now gearing up to announce the Oppo Find X7 Series in 2024. Rumors regarding the features of the Find X7 Series have been in circulation for a while now and even the brand has started confirming some details of the smartphones now and then.

The latest Oppo has confirmed is a 1-inch camera sensor for the Find X7 Series. Read on for more details.

Oppo Find X7 Series: Details

The Oppo Find X7 Series will mostly include 3 devices- Oppo Find X7, Oppo Find X7 Pro and Oppo Find X7 Ultra. Oppo has recently confirmed that the series will feature a newly launched 1-inch Sony LYT-900 camera that uses a dual-layer stacked technology. Oppo Find X7 Series will be among the first few who will feature this sensor. Most probably, only the Ultra model will have this sensor while the other two could have the LYT-808 sensor that is currently seen on OnePlus 12 & Realme GT5 Pro.

Sony LYT-900 is a flagship 1-inch sensor that has a pixel size of 1.6µm and a pixel count of 50MP. The pixel size indicates a good light-gathering capability of the sensor. There is a stacked design which means the sensor will allow the smartphone to collect more information about the shots before clicking them. Low-light performance will get better and autofocus is also said to have improved. The new sensors from Sony come with an all-pixel AF technology which will make portrait and landscapes better.

The dynamic range is also claimed to have been improved and integrating the Hasselblad HyperTone system will only make the photography experience better on the Find X7 smartphone.

Tipsters have now and then shared design renders of the Find X7 Series models. Sanju Choudhary shared a render for the base Find X7 model that can be seen with a large, circular camera module along with Hasselblad branding in the center at the top of the back panel. The position of the LED flash has been changed and the arrangement of the sensors is also different from the Find X6 series.

Emergency satellite messaging, just like Apple is also expected to feature in the Find X7 Series. In terms of chipset, the ultra and pro models are said to have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC while the vanilla will have Dimensity 9300.

The vanilla and ultra variants will have a 5000mAh battery while the middle member is expected to pack a smaller 4860mAh battery. All 3 are expected to come with 100W Wired fast charging capability. Oppo is also expected to use BOE 8T displays for the Find X7 series.

More will be known as the date of the launch is announced.
