TL; DR
  • OPPO F33 and F33 Pro launch officially in India on April 15, succeeding the F31 series.
  • F33 Pro features a 50MP 100-degree wide-angle selfie camera with AI Groupfie and Portrait Glow.
  • Both phones feature a CNC-machined unibody back and an IP69K rating for dust- and water-resistance.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo is about to launch its F-series smartphones in India. The series consists of two models: the Oppo F33 and the F33 Pro. They’ll arrive in the country as successors to the F31 series on April 15, 2026.

Both phones sit in the Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 35,000 mid-range bracket, a segment that has grown pricier (largely due to the ongoing RAM shortage), and, in my opinion, noisier. While the regular Oppo F33 could cost around Rs. 25,000, the F33 Pro could be priced around Rs. 35,000.

Oppo F33 Series: Key Features Revealed Ahead Of Launch

The headline feature of the Oppo F33 Pro is its 50MP (f/2.0) ultra-wide front camera with a 100° field of view, powered by a GalaxyCore GC50F6 sensor. If you ask me, that’s a meaningfully wider frame than most other phones in this segment, enough to fit a large group in a single selfie without moving forward.

An AI Groupfie feature automatically shifts to 0.6x zoom when two or more people enter the frame, while a face distortion correction algorithm can identify up to six faces simultaneously. For low-light selfies, a Colorful Front Fill Light adds a bit of fun to your pictures, while the Popout modem creates layered, dynamic images directly in the camera.

Another feature, the AI Portrait Glow, is making its debut on an F-series phone, offering lighting presets including Natural Light, Flashlight, Rim Light, and Studio Light. On the back, both phones share a 50MP primary camera with a 2MP depth sensor.

Oppo has introduced a one-piece Cold Carving construction, where the back cover is carved from a single 1.5mm polymer sheet that combines acrylic and polycarbonate, reportedly three times thicker than standard molded covers. The F33 Pro also carries an IP69K rating, which should make it resistant to high-pressure water jets.

Finally, the F33 Pro features a 6.57-inch flat display and will be available in Mistry Forest, Starry Blue, and Passion Red.
