TL; DR

Motorola hikes prices of Moto G35, G57 Power, and Edge 60 Fusion in India.
Edge 60 Fusion becomes Rs. 2,000 costlier, while G35 and G57 Power rise by Rs. 500–Rs. 1,000.
The move tightens value in India’s budget and mid‑range smartphone segments.

Yesterday, we published a news story around the reported price hike of the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite. Now, tipster Sanju Choudhary has revealed details of yet another smartphone price hike in India, this time affecting Motorola’s entry-level and mid-range handsets. While the company hasn’t officially spelled out the reason behind the price hike, rising memory and component cost is likely driving the decision.

Which Phones Have Received A Price Bump, And How Much?

Moto Edge 60 Fusion alternatives

Starting with the entry-level Motorola G35 (4GB + 128GB), the phone now costs Rs. 12,499 on Flipkart, up by Rs. 500 from its old retail price of Rs. 11,999. The same phone’s higher variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage now costs Rs. 13,999, up from Rs. 12,999, reflecting a Rs. 1,000 increase.

The Motorola G57 Power with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage also sees a Rs. 1,000 price increase (was Rs. 14,999, is Rs. 15,999).

Now, for the Edge 60 Fusion, Motorola has revised the price of all three models by Rs. 2,000.

Are The Motorola Smartphones Still Worth Buying?

I’d say yes. For the budget-conscious buyer, the Moto G35 and the Moto G57 Power still remain solid value picks, but the additional Rs. A price range of Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000 might prompt them to cross-check the specs with handsets from Redmi or realme. I think it’s only a matter of weeks before the other two brands announce price hikes for their smartphones as well.

The Edge 60 Fusion also remains a solid mid-range contender, thanks to its Dimensity 7400 chip, 5,500 mAh battery, and stock Android experience. However, the Rs. 2,000 price might make you think twice before buying it, especially if you can’t avail of any bank offers or cashbacks. At the time of writing this article, the revised prices are already live on Flipkart.

This is not a Motorola-specific issue per se, as the global memory crunch is looming over the entire consumer electronics industry. Whether it’s smartphones, PCs, laptops, or gaming consoles, everything that uses high-quality memory is either already more expensive than it used to be or would get a price hike sooner than you’d think.
