Oppo introduced F17 series in India a few days back without divulging the price or availability details of the base F17 model. The global smartphone maker has now announced that the F17 will be available for purchase starting September 21 and for pre-order starting September 10.

The pricing is quite competitive, especially when you consider that the F17 will also retail at offlines stores. The base 6+128GB variant will start at INR 17,990 and the 8 + 128GB option will cost 19,990.

Oppo F17 Features

To start with, the OPPO F17 is just 7.45mm slim and weighs a mere 163 gram – which is quite impressive for a phone in 2020. The back has what Oppo calls ‘leather-feel’ texture and it’s available in a few district colors – Dynamic Orange, Navy Blue, and Classic Silver.

There is a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution and waterdrop notch and thankfully 30W VOOC Flash Charging also made the cut.

So, where’s the catch? You probably already guessed it by now. The chipset isn’t exactly class-leading. The handset is driven by Qualcomm’s entry-grade Snapdragon 662, but the SoC is backed by ample RAM and storage, we are hoping the performance would suffice for basic and moderate users.

Other highlights include quad-rear cameras with a 16MP sensor in the lead, 16MP front camera, and a 4000mAh battery.
