Oppo has quietly announced 2018 edition of Oppo A83. The new mid-range phone from the Chinese smartphone maker is nothing but a new RAM variant of the A83 (2017). It is listed on the company’s website and is available for purchase across the country via Flipkart.

The new Oppo A83 (2018) is priced in India at Rs. 16,990 and is available in Blue and Red color options. The product is currently listed online on Flipkart, but it should be available in brick and mortar stores at the same price as well.

Talking about the specifications, the Oppo A83 (2018) features a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) 18:9 TFT LCD display and is powered by MediaTek MT6763T SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The storage is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
All this is packed inside Oppo’s ‘UFO Curve Design’ with Aluminium back and flat front.

For shutterbugs, the Oppo A83 (2018) offers a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor on the with an LED flash and Ultra-HD mode. Whereas the front camera is an 8MP shooter with AI technology that is said to learn your face contours and complexion over time to enhance selfie quality.
The dual-SIM Oppo A83 (2018) runs on the dated Android 7.1-based Color OS 3.2 out of the box and houses a 3180mAh battery. The missing fingerprint sensor is compensated with Face Unlock feature.
