Oppo A78 5G launched in India powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC: Priced at 18,999

Oppo has launched a budget smartphone in the country. Oppo A78 5G has been launched in India in direct competition with the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G. Oppo claims that its newly launched device supports Airtel and Jio’s 5G networks and features a glossy stripe design for the back panel.

Oppo A78 5G: Price & Availability

The Oppo A78 5G comes in a single 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model for Rs. 18,999. The smartphone will be available in 2 colors- Glowing Blue and Glowing Black. The first sale will take place on January 18 via Oppo e-store and Amazon. Customers can avail of a 10 percent cashback and six months of no-cost EMI via ICICI, SBI, Bank of Baroda, IDFC, One Card, and AU Finance bank.

Oppo A78 5G: Specs

The Oppo A78 5G sports a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and 600 nits brightness. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The smartphone features a dual camera setup at the back including a 50MP main and a 2MP depth sensor. The front has an 8MP lens for selfies and video calls.

The Oppo A78 5G runs ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 and comes with a multi-cooling system. It packs a 5000mAh battery under the hood with a 33W fast charging capability. It weighs about 188 grams and its dimensions are 163.8×75.1×7.99mm.
