In 2018, third-party developers might have found a solution to this weakness – the OnePlus Camera M. This new software mod developed by XDA developer claims to produce better camera results.
What is OnePlus Camera M Mod?
The software add-on for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T is developed by XDA member txx1219 who claims to have unlocked the full potential their respective camera. Post Camera M Mod install, it tweaks the default camera app at the kernel level. Results of it, is a slightly brighter and sharper image in comparison to an untampered app. 
How To Install OnePlus Camera M Mod?
- The installation process of this new mod is not entirely a cake walk.An XDA Developer has, however, come up with a solution. He has developed a new camera.Firstly, to install this OnePlus Camera Mod M there is a prerequisite that your OnePlus 5 or 5T have to be rooted with Magisk. If you have a OnePlus 5 or 5T root with Super SU method, you have to unroot your OnePlus phone and then again re-root it using Magisk.
- Once rooting process is done, make sure your phone’s camera app is not updated. You can restore your Camera app by hitting Settings>>Apps>>Camera>>Disable.
- Finally, you are required to download the OnePlus Camera M Mod Magisk module from xda-forums and flash it via the recovery installed (TWRP recovery preferred).
- Now you are good to go.
