Every year OnePlus refreshes its lineup with a new color variant and this year is no different. The brand has unveiled a Mirror Blue variant of the OnePlus 7 (review), which will go on sale from July 15. It announces the new variant as specially crafted for Indian OnePlus fans.

In the yesteryears, the brand had brought new colors for its top-specced variants only. But this time around, the new color will be available on the base 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The price remains unchanged at Rs. 32,999. We spotted the phone listed on Amazon India along with the Prime Day announcement.

As for the color, OnePlus compares it to the calm of a deep blue ocean. It is designed using bi-directional double-layered coating which lends a surreal effect as light flows over it. At a glance, the renders look like the Nebula blue of OnePlus 7 Pro (review). However, the difference lies in the glossy finish instead of a frosted marble finish.

OnePlus introduced two phones this year namely, the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7. The pro with its flagship-grade feature list and specs eclipsed the other. As a strategic push to their main offering, the brand had given a meager exposure to the latter during the launch too. The new painting could be its way of penance to boost OnePlus 7’s sale.
