OnePlus India has confirmed the launch of its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 15. Like the iQOO 15 and the realme GT 8 Pro, the OnePlus handset will also run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s new flagship chipset, which will be available on top-tier Android flagships for the remainder of 2025 and the majority of 2026.

OnePlus 15 To Feature DetailMax Engine

Apart from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, the OnePlus 15 features DetailMax Image Engine for pro-grade photography. It uses “advanced algorithms and powerful processors to capture images that feel breathtakingly clear and truly real.”

The company also claims that the OnePlus 15 will deliver an “unrivalled gaming experience with lighting-fast performance and adaptive software tailored for high-end gaming.” Further, the phone is designed to be cool under intense load. “More details about the OnePlus 15 will be released over the coming weeks.”

OnePlus To Also Launch A “Snapdragon 8 Gen 5” Smartphone

Via the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, OnePlus has confirmed that it will launch the world’s first phone with the “fifth generation Snapdragon 8 flagship” (translated from Chinese). While the company didn’t reveal any other information about the chipset, this could be the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset that Qualcomm unveiled as a surprise at the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

Although there’s no further information about the smartphone, reports suggest it could be the OnePlus 15R, which is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. More details about the handset should surface on the internet soon.
