TL; DR
  • The OnePlus 13T has been officially teased, confirming its name as the long-rumored OnePlus mini phone.
  • It will feature dual cameras and the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset.
  • The China launch is set for April, with an India launch expected in late April or early May.

OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of the OnePlus 13T this month in China, branding it as a “small-screen powerhouse.” The device is set to join the compact flagship race, following the success of devices like the vivo X200 Pro Mini and the Xiaomi 14 (review).

A teaser of the device was revealed in China, showing the classic OnePlus box with “13T” printed on it. This all but confirms that OnePlus’ mini flagship will be called the OnePlus 13T. Now, let’s dive into the details.

The OnePlus 13T is poised to feature a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the same SoC found in the OnePlus 13 (review), which scored around 3 Million on AnTuTu.

Despite its smaller size, the 13T is said to pack a 6,200 mAh battery with 80W fast charging—no wireless charging, though, unlike the OPPO Find X8s. The device is also said to integrate the WindChaser gaming engine, which optimizes CPU frequency for smoother gaming.

This feature could appeal to mobile gamers seeking performance without thermal throttling, a known issue with the Snapdragon 8 Elite in multiple phones.

Leaked mock renders suggest a metal frame and glass back, with a dual-camera setup—a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP 2X telephoto lens, though some rumors hint at a triple-camera system with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens.

The design might resemble the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite NE 5G’s camera module, featuring a vertical or horizontal arrangement. It will run OxygenOS 15 on Android 15, with a new “Magic Cube” button replacing the Alert Slider, a move that mirrors the Find X8s and Find X8 Ultra.

OnePlus 13T Pricing and India Launch

    OnePlus 13T mockup

Leaks suggest the OnePlus 13T could be the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite compact flagship, priced under 4,000 Yuan (~$550/₹47,000). This significantly undercuts the current cheapest in India, iQOO 13 (review) (₹54,999), making it an aggressive competitor in the compact flagship space.

It directly takes on the OPPO Find X8s, which is launching on April 10. The Find X8s packs a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED display, Dimensity 9400+ chipset, a massive 5,700mAh battery, and a triple 50MP camera system (main, ultra-wide, and 3X periscope).

The OnePlus 13T is expected to launch in India by the end of this month or early May 2025. As April unfolds, more details about OnePlus’ compact flagship will emerge. Stay tuned for updates on pricing, features, and availability.
