Despite the release date for the international markets being leaked earlier, we can now say that the OnePlus 12 is officially launching on January 23 thereby confirming the previous rumors.

This comes from the Never Settle Summit held in Antwerp, Belgium, where a special event was organized for the OnePlus community to celebrate the auspicious ten years of the brand. OnePLus Benelux Country Manager Alexander Vanderhaeghe confirmed the January 23rd date for the European markets and it will be joined by OnePlus 12R along with a few other IoT products that are awaiting their arrival on January 23rd.

OnePlus 12 Specifications

We already know about OnePlus 12 given the fact that it arrived in China earlier this week. It has a 6.82” LTPO AMOLED 120Hz BOE X1 Oriental display with a whopping 4,500 nits brightness. There’s a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC under the hood paired alongside Adreno 750 GPU, up to 24GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

A 50+48+64MP rear triple camera assembly takes advantage of Sony’s algorithm optimizations and color adjustments by Hasselblad. There’s a 9140mm2 vapor chamber that was recently dwarfed by Realme GT5 Pro’s 1200mm2 VC.

On the battery front, we have a ginormous 5400mAh battery supplied with 50W wireless and 100W wired charging to name a few. We highly doubt there will be any changes on the OnePlus 12 as it readies its global launch on January 23.

OnePlus 12R Speculated Speculations

Moving on, we have a speculated R-series device launching on January 23rd as well. Dubbed as OnePlus 12R, the successor to 11R, the phone will get last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC along with Adreno 740 GPU, up to 512GB of storage. There are speculations that the phone will pick up 50MP OIS primary, 32MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera on top of a 16MP front camera.

On the battery front, we have seen speculations around a capacity of 5,550mAh paired with 100W wired and no wireless charging.
