The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is holding an event this Thursday, and it’s not a regular launch event. In an attempt to create more hype around its upcoming flagship, the company will host an event to reveal its camera details. Unlike Android manufacturers like Samsung, Google, Vivo, or Oppo, which unveil the entire smartphone in one go, the OnePlus 12 is getting its dedicated camera event. Here’s when it’s going to happen.

The OnePlus 12 camera event will occur on Thursday, November 9, 2023. However, the event isn’t taking place in India. Instead, the company has chosen its native market to reveal the camera details first. Nevertheless, the camera specifications, including the sensor selection, availability of optical image stabilization, and the maximum zoom levels, should remain the same even when the phone goes international.

For now, we know that the OnePlus 12 could feature a triple camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX966 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultrawide sensor, and a 64MP periscope telephoto sensor for three times optical zoom. On the front, users might get a 32MP selfie camera. However, it is important to mention that none of these details are confirmed by the company. Hence, readers should take it with a pinch of salt.
OnePlus 12 Expected Specifications
The OnePlus could feature a 6.82-inch QHD+ screen with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone could run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Further, the smartphone could also pack a 5,400 mAh battery that supports up to 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. Out of the box, the device should run on OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14. Moreover, the phone is expected to look the same as its predecessor.
