Okwu Pi Offers Dual Rear Cameras For Just Rs. 5,999

OKWU, an India based startup has officially jumped into the smartphone market with the launch of OKWU Pi and Bluetooth accessory U-Tag. The company claims that its mobile phones will empower users to savor an ecosystem of connected gizmos.

Even though The OKWU Pi flaunts a metal finish it weighs 138grams and is 6.5mm slim making it one of the lightest smartphone in the budget range of smartphones under Rs. 6,000. It houses a 5-inch display with HD resolution on the front. The phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 Chipset which has four cores clocked at 1.2GHz. It gets 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be bumped up to 32GB using microSD card.

In optics, it gets a dual rear camera setup with 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors paired in tandem. The rear camera setup supports PDAF and comes with dedicated LED Flash. On the front, it bears a 2-megapixel front facing the camera with LED flash. The phone comes running on Android Marshmallow 6.0 and is aided by a 2000mAh removable battery. The OKWU Pi supports 4G VoLTE connectivity which makes it compatible with Reliance Jio network.

On the other hand, the Bluetooth enabled U-Tag accessory is part of OKWU’s U-Arena under which company plans introduce its lineup of IoT devices. The U-Tag can be connected with your belongings in order to locate tagged things if you misplaced.

The OKWU Pi is priced at Rs. 5,999, and the U-Tag costs Rs. 990. It comes in Gold and Rose Gold color options. Pre-Booking for the phone starts from 27th November. Initially, the smartphones will be manufactured and assembled in Shenzhen, China, and the company further plans to set up their own assembly unit in India soon.
