Today, the German automobile manufacturer Volkswagen announced the launch of the Taigun GT Line and Taigun GT Plus Sport in India. Both models offer an exceptional driving experience. While the Taigun GT Line starts at around Rs. 14 lakhs (ex-showroom), the more expensive Taigun GT Plus Sport is available from Rs. 18.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Taigun GT Line with a 1.0L TSI engine and a six-speed manual transmission starts at Rs. 14.08 lakhs (ex-showroom). The variant with a six-speed automatic transmission costs Rs. 15.63 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Volkswagen Taigun GT Line Features

This particular model has a GT Line badge on the front and rear bumpers. With a blackened front grill and black LED headlamps, the GT Line has a distinct appearance. To match the overall theme, even the model’s name on the boot lid is black.

Other cosmetic elements, such as the roof rails, TSI badge, window bar, outside door handle garnish, and strip in the front/back, are also black. The same theme runs through the interiors of the car, where users will find dark-colored headliners, crystal-grey stitching on the seat covers, center armrests, and grab handles.

Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport

The Taigun GT Plus Sport with a 1.5L TSI EVO engine with a six-speed manual transmission costs Rs. 18.53 lakhs (ex-showroom). The variant with a seven-speed DSG transmission costs Rs. 19.74 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Deliveries of both the GT Line and GT Plus Sport variants will start from April 2024.

Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport Features

A few notable cosmetic changes on the GT Plus Sport lineup include a red GT badge on the front, R17 Cassino black allow wheels, and black front grille/B-pillar/C-Pillar/ORVMs. On the inside, people should expect to see more red inserts than the regular GT Line.

For instance, while the seat covers and the headliner are black, the stitching on the steering wheel, center armrest, and door armrest is red. The disk brake calipers on the GT Plus Sport variant are also red.
