Another benchmark with a laptop graphics card named Ada Lovelace has surfaced online. The top-tier GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 have thus far been discovered on Geekbench. Although Geekbench is a good tool for comparing CPUs, the same cannot be said for GPUs. The GeForce RTX 4060 beams for the camera this time around, but in a different benchmark.

The 3DMark Time Spy laptop version result for the GeForce RTX 4060 has been made public by ITHome. Its graphics score is 10,050, which is nearly 20% quicker than the GeForce RTX 3060, which, in our test database, averages 8,313 points. If the maximum score (9,235) for the Ampere-based SKU is considered, the margin is considerably smaller.

The top-of-the-line Intel Core i7-13700H Raptor Lake laptop processor is matched with the GeForce RTX 4060 prototype. Both parts, according to Videocardz, are found in a ThunderRobot (Chinese OEM) laptop, but we may anticipate seeing similarly-specced SKUs from foreign manufacturers at CES 2023. The xx50 and xx60 class of cards sell the most, therefore the GeForce RTX 4060 is a crucial SKU for Nvidia to get right even when flagship SKUs like the GeForce RTX 4090 look fantastic on test charts.

Sadly, little is known about the internals of the GeForce RTX 4060 laptop graphics card. According to a prior leak, there might be two variations, one with 85 Watts TGP and the other with a value between 115 and 140 Watts. The former features an additional headroom of 10 Watts for dynamic boost, while the latter has 25 Watts. Both reportedly have an AD106 GPU. At CES 2023, further details including the number of CUDA cores and base/boost clocks should be made public.
