CES 2023 is going on these days and the first day has seen Nvidia announcing a new range of GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs for upcoming laptops. The brand will be collaborating with many leading brands with 170+ laptops deemed to feature 40 series GPUs.
The GeForce RTX 40 Series will consist of RTX 4090, 4080, RTX 4070, 4060, and 4050 laptop GPUs that will be available in the market from February 22nd with a starting price of 999 dollars. The brand claims that the RTX 4090 is the world’s fastest laptop GPU that will be 3x more power efficient than its predecessor. Nvidia has revealed benchmark scores that show off over 100fps speed on an RTX 4090 laptop for games like Play A Plague Tale, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and more.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, 4080 GPUs: Specs and Features
The RTX 4090 GPU comes with 16GB of GDDR6 video memory with 9728 CUDA cores and a maximum boost speed of 2040MHz.
The RTX 4080 GPU has 12GB GDDR6 memory with a maximum speed of 2280MHz and 7424 CUDA cores. Both these GPUs have a TGP of up to 150W and support features like DLSS 3, Resizable BAR, and real-time ray tracing.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, 4050 GPUs: Specs and Features
The RTX 4070 GPU has 8GB GDDR6 memory with 4068 and 3072 CUDA cores, both variants having a TPG of 115W.
The RTX 4050 GPU has 6GB GDDR6 memory with 2560 CUDA cores and a maximum clock speed of 2370MHz.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU: Features
Nvidia has also launched the most affordable RTX 40 Series GPU, that is the RTX 4070 Ti which is priced at 799 dollars and will be faster than RTX 3090 Ti GPU. It offers a video memory of 12GB GDDR6x and a maximum clock speed of 2.61GHz. The GPU has 7680 CUDA cores and can support a 4K display with up to 240Hz or an 8K display with up to 60Hz with DSC.
Nvidia has also shown off a quartet of games to display how the latest Nvidia hardware will run these titles. The trailers for these games were shown off during CES 2023.
