The London-based tech startup Nothing has confirmed the launch date for Phone (2a), the mid-range offering by the company that has been in the making for quite some time. On February 1, 2024, the brand confirmed the existence of Phone (2a). Now, a week and a dozen rumors later, the company has announced the launch date, and contrary to previous reports, it isn’t during the Mobile World Congress.

Nothing Phone (2a) Release Date

Nothing will release the Phone (2a) at a launch event on March 5, 2024, at 5 PM IST. The event will be streamed live through the company’s social platforms, including its official YouTube channel. While the handset will be readily available in India, which happens to be one of the brand’s key markets, it will be in the United States as part of a “Developer Program.”

Nothing Could Drop More Details During Mobile World Congress

However, that is the extent of information available about the smartphone. Although we expected the brand to reveal some exciting news about the phone’s specifications, price, or availibility, Nothing decided to keep that under wraps. The brand still has an event on February 27, that coincides with the Mobile World Congress. There’s a good chance it will drop more details about the handset then.

Nothing Phone (2a) Expected Specifications And Price

The handset could come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED screen that supports 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the handset may feature the Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor. Regarding optics, it could come with a dual 50MP camera system, including one regular camera and one ultrawide camera. Further, the phone could also support 45W fast wired charging, like the original Phone (1). In India, the Nothing Phone (2a) could cost about Rs. 30,000.
