Nokia 3.1 plus and Nokia 8110 4G (Banana phone) launched in India: Price and Specifications

HMD Global has launched two phones today for the Indian market. One is the new Nokia 3.1 plus smartphone which is the company’s new contender in the mid-range segment and the second is the Nokia 8110 (also widely known as the Nokia banana phone) which debuted in the international market earlier this year.

Nokia 3.1 Plus Features

The Nokia 3.1 will sport a 6-inch HD+ bezel-less display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 which is placed under a 2.5D curved glass. The phone runs on Mediatek’s Helio P22 Octa-core chipset supported by a 2GB/3GB RAM and an internal storage of 16/32GB. It allows the user to expand the internal storage up to 400GB with a microSD card.

 

The Nokia 3.1 plus features a dual camera on the rear consisting of a 13 MP (f/2.0 aperture) primary shooter and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP (f/2.2 aperture) sensor which supports software enabled bokeh mode and screen flash. It accommodates a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

It is powered by a 3,500 mAh battery and runs on stock Android 8.1 Oreo. It will be available in Blue, Baltic and White colors. The phone has been priced at Rs. 11,499 for the 2GB + 16GB variant and the price of 3GB + 32GB variant is yet to be revealed. It will be available for purchase from October 19.

Nokia 8110 Features

Nokia 8110 is a feature phone which supports 4G LTE. This phone will certainly remind you of using the old Nokia feature phones which were largely popular. The handset comes with a slide-out cover for the keyboard which gives it the look of a banana.

This phone features a 2.4-inch QVGA color display. On the rear, it even includes a 2MP camera sensor and a LED flash. It is powered by a 1.1GHz Snapdragon 205 dual-core processor which is coupled with a 512 MB RAM. It has an internal storage of 4GB that can be expanded up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card.

It houses a 1500 mAh battery that offers up to 9.3 hours of talk time. It runs on KaiOS and supports social media applications such as Facebook, Whatsapp, Youtube, and even Google Maps. The phone has been priced at Rs.5,999 and will be available for purchase from October 24.
