Amazon has been steadily adding Alexa support to its devices and now the company has upgraded its regular Fire TV stick. The 2019 edition little USB-size dongle comes bundled with the Alexa Voice Remote which Amazon introduced with Fire TV stick 4K (review). It is important to mention here that Amazon will also be selling the new Alexa Voice Remote separately in the country. What it means is all existing regular Fire TV Stick users can buy it from the e-commerce site and upgrade to the same experience.
Alexa Voice Remote Features
While the new Fire TV dongle remains the same from both inside and outside, it’s the remote that has been swapped with the new one. Now, even the Fire TV stick users will be able to use voice commands to direct Alexa to find shows and movies, launch apps or surf web.
The new Alexa Voice is compatible with Fire TV Stick(2nd Generation), and Fire TV Stick 4K. It is also worth mentioning that the Alexa Voice Remote’s universal function is compatible with all those popular TVs, sound bars, and A/V receivers with HDMI CEC support.

New Amazon Fire TV Stick Pricing and Availability
You could buy the new Amazon Fire TV stick from Amazon India at Rs 3,999. As for the 4K variant, it can be bought for Rs 5,999. The exsisting Alexa Fire TV Stick can buy the all-new Alexa Voice Remote (with TV control) separately, which is priced at Rs 1,999. As a limited period offer, users can be pre-book it for just Rs. 999. Amazon India will start shipping of these new devices from January 28.
