Samsung India is set to bring in its new Galaxy M-series in India on January 28 and the official teaser page on phone reveals quite a few significant details about this upcoming phone, including the complete M-series design.

After resisting the display cutout trend for a year, Samsung will use a waterdrop notch on its upcoming affordable m-series phones. The upcoming phone will also include dual rear cameras and a rear fingerprint sensor. A 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C port is also visible at the bottom.

Samsung Galaxy M Series Features

The M series has been built around and incepted around Indian millennial consumers,” Asim Warsi said in a press statement confirming the launch of the upcoming M series.

In the new teaser, Samsung promises 3X faster-charging support, a big battery, and a dual camera system capable of capturing wide-angle shots. The biggest highlight, however, is the near bezel-less full-view display that Samsung reveals almost entirely, save for the chin below the screen (but we do think designers have been a bit liberal with bezel reduction).

Samsung has been the last resort for consumers who are still averse to notch, but it looks like that won’t be the case moving forward. Samsung has finally yielded to the trend and has included varied notches across its entire 2019 portfolio, and perhaps that’s the right way forward.

The inclusion of USB Type-C port is certainly good news, though. Looks like we’ll finally see the majority of affordable phones include the reversible Type-C port this year.

Other details are still sparse and we will have to wait till the phones go official on January 28 to share something more concrete.
