Netflix is the priciest streaming service that’s currently available in India. Well, that might change thanks to the new “flexible” subscription plans. The OTT giant is apparently testing long-term discounted plans in the country. The discounts might go up to 50-percent in comparison to its monthly plans.

Here are the details.

Netflix Long-Term Plans: Pricing and Availability

The current plan structure of Mobile, Basic, Standard, or Premium plan will prevail. The only thing that differs is that now you could buy plans in a bundle of 3 months, 6 months and 12 months subscriptions.

Under the new testing, a quarterly bundle i.e., a ‘3 months’ Premium plan which would cost you Rs. 2,397 (Rs. 799 x3 times) will be available at a 20% discount at Rs. 1,919.

Netflix has confirmed the new experiment saying, “We believe that our members may value the flexibility that comes from being able to pay for a few months at once. As always, this is a test and we will only introduce it more broadly if people find it useful.”
