Time and again, the leaks around Motorola Razr 40 Ultra are getting meaty. We saw some official-looking promo materials last week and today, we got our hands on some Razr 40 Ultra rumored specifications to have a glance at.
The leak suggests Razr 40 Ultra will run on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. For the uninitiated, the last specs leak suggested the inclusion of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC instead although the latest piece of information says otherwise. 8+ Gen 1 SoC is still a powerful beast, however, given the fact that Razr 40 Ultra will compete with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 that will pick a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, we will have to see which phone outperforms others.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is Set To Compete Against Galaxy Z Flip5
Motorola is bringing a few cosmetic changes to the Razr 40 Ultra such as a 3.5” cover display that extends most parts of the top half of the back panel. The inner display is approx 2640×1080 pixels resolution AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate while the outer display is likely at 1056×1066 pixel resolution. Do note that some other specs leak suggest Razr 40 Ultra will pick up a 144Hz refresh rate instead of 120Hz.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra sports a dual rear camera setup likely located over the display. It uses a 12MP Sony IMX563 wide-angle snapper paired with a 13MP ultrawide SK Hynix Hi1336 sensor snapper. There’s also a 32MP OmniVision OV32B40 selfie snapper housed in a cut-out on the inner (primary) display.
We have up to 512GB of NVM storage and 12GB of RAM although the pricings for the EU mention only the 256GB variant. You will find NFC on all the models along with a fingerprint sensor on the power button.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is likely to pack in a 3,640mAh battery pack under the hood supplied with a 33W fast charging tech. Finally, we have Android 13-powered My UX donning the cape of a super smooth near-stock-like Android OS, unlike other UIs.
Talking about Motorola Razr 40 Ultra pricing, it is likely to fetch around EUR1,200 for the 8+256GB variant in Europe. It will get three colorways i.e. Glacier Blue, Viva Magenta, and Phantom Black arriving at the same price point as per the leaks. Again, you will have to take it with a pinch of salt until the pricings aren’t official.
Note that we aren’t aware on Motorola Razr 40 Ultra at the time of writing this. It could make it to the public sometime in July this year which is actually the same timeframe when Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is speculated to make a splash.
