Motorola has been missing from the flagship segment for long. Recently, the company made a comeback in the premium-tier smartphones market with the Motorola Edge+ featuring higher refresh rate curved screen and Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with 5G modem. If you were wondering about its India launch, well it will happen sooner than your expected.
Prashanth Mani, Motorola India chief has also confirmed that the Motorola Edge+ will launch in India soon. In his twitter post, Mani shared a video of the phone with a comment: “The all-new Motorola edge+ is reinvigorating the flagship space with a Bold endless edge screen innovation, Fastest 5G performances with Snapdragon 865 and a monster 108 mpx camera. Here is a sneak peek into what went behind creating the #AbsoluteEverything. Coming soon to India!”
However, Mr Mani shied away from revealing the exact launch date of the phone. It could be possible that the company is waiting to get more clarity from the government of India on countrywide due to COVID pandemic before making any announcement.

Motorola Edge+ features
The Motorola Edge+ as the name suggest houses a 6.7-inch Endless Edge display. Just like some earlier generation Samsung flagships its has curved edges for an immersive experience. The screen has full HD+ resolution, supports 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and also includes an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
Motorola has backed it Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset – Snapdragon 865 SoC which is paired with an X55 discrete modem. In the west, Motorola offers the phone with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3,0 storage.

The Motorola 2020 flagship features a 108MP primary camera with OIS, 8MP telephoto lens with OIS, 16MP ultra-wide camera and ToF sensor. The 108MP Samsung HMX primary sensor delivers 27MP images post pixel binning. For selfie’s, there’s a 25MP sensor punched in cutout hole in the screen.
The Motorola Edge+ ships running on a clean Android 10. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W Turbo charging via both wired and wireless chargers.
