Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Surface Pro 3 Launched Starting At 89,990 INR And 73,990 INR

Microsoft has been pitching the concept of tablet replacing your laptop for several generations now. While Surface Pro 3 was quite convincing in itself, the idea gained more traction after Apple introduced its iPad Pro, striving for the same goal.

Several 2-in-1s have popped up since, and today Microsoft brings its Surface Pro 4 and Surface Pro 3 in India, which will be selling for a starting price of 89,990 INR and 73,990 INR. The price seems way to steep, especially since these are base models and since you will have to buy the Smart Keyboard separately for about 12,500 INR.

The Surface Pro 4 is the more refined of the two and comes with an improved pen and smart cover. Talking of specs, it includes a sharp 12.3-inch (2736 x 1824 pixels) display, is powered by 6th Gen Intel processors with Intel HD graphics,  4GB/8GB/16GB RAM and 128 – 1TB storage.

Other features include 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, Full-size USB 3.0, microSD card reader, Mini DisplayPort, SurfaceConnect, Stereo speakers with Dolby Audio, Stereo microphones and 5547mAh battery.

SURFACE-PRO-3

The base model of Surface Pro 4 will have Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Core i7 variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost 1,44,990 INR. The Surface Pen stylus will be bundled with the device.

Only one variant of Surface Pro 3 with 4th gen Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage will be available in India. With Surface Pro 3 you will have to buy type cover (12,490 INR) and Surface Pen (5,990 INR) separately.

These Surface Tablets will be exclusive to Amazon for the first 6 months. Shipping starts from 14th January.
