Indian smartphone maker Micromax has made another addition to its Canvas series of smartphones with a new entrant called the Canvas Selfie 2. The company went the quiet way in terms of the launch of the phone and preferred not to unveil it in a glitzy ceremony.

As is evident by the device’s name, the phone is a selfie-centric outing by Micromax and employs an 8MP camera on the front to live up to that billing. The features on the selfie snapper include a Glass IR Filter, Sony IMX135 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and LED flash.

On the back, we have a 13MP camera with features like an f/2.0 aperture (same as the one on the front), an OV 8856 sensor, 84-degree field-of-view, 5P lens and LED flash. Speaking of the back of the phone you will also find a fingerprint sensor there.

Powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset, the Canvas Selfie 2 runs on the latest Android Nougat OS (version 7.0) and has a 3GB/32GB RAM/ROM combination. Other than that, it has a 3,000mAh battery put into use to keep it alive.

Also, the Micromax Canvas Selfie 2 carries most of the Android Nougat features, such as Multi Window Support, Reply from the notification panel, Enhanced Doze Mode, New quick settings option and bundled notifications.
