iPhone 17 Looks Like the Sweet Spot

At ₹70,990, the iPhone 17 stands out as one of the better deals in this sale. The phone usually retails for ₹82,900, making this a substantial discount.
I’ve been using the iPhone 17 for over 9 months now, and for most people, this is probably the iPhone to buy. You get a 120Hz ProMotion display, always-on display, Ceramic Shield 2, the powerful A19 chip, and support for all of Apple’s latest Apple Intelligence features, including the new Siri AI.
Apple has also upgraded the cameras significantly. The iPhone 17 features a 48MP main camera alongside a 48MP ultrawide camera, and you also get the new 18MP Center Stage selfie camera.
Other upgrades include 40W wired charging, a larger battery, thinner bezels, an anti-reflective display coating, and 256GB of storage as standard. Considering that many of these features were previously reserved for Pro models, the iPhone 17 should comfortably meet the needs of most buyers.
Should You Spend Extra on the iPhone 17 Pro?

The iPhone 17 Pro will be available for ₹1,12,900, down from its regular price of ₹1,34,900.
It is certainly a good deal, but whether you should buy it depends entirely on your usage. The Pro model makes sense if you regularly use the telephoto camera, shoot a lot of RAW photos or ProRes videos, or simply want the absolute best camera system Apple offers.
For everyone else, the standard iPhone 17 already delivers most of the experience at a much lower price.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max, priced at ₹1,27,900, offers the same core experience as the Pro, with the main additions being a larger display and a bigger battery. If you prefer big phones and want the best battery life in Apple’s lineup, it is the obvious choice.
Skip the iPhone 16 If You Can Stretch Your Budget

The iPhone 16 will be available for ₹59,900 (128GB variant), but spending a little extra on the iPhone 17 makes much more sense.
Compared to the iPhone 16, the iPhone 17 brings ProMotion, always-on display, 48MP ultra-wide camera, Center Stage selfie camera, faster 40W charging, larger battery, brighter display, and 256GB storage by default. The iPhone 16 still starts with 128GB storage, and upgrading to 256GB narrows the price gap even further.
The iPhone 16 Plus at ₹73,900 is also difficult to recommend unless you specifically want a large-screen iPhone.
What About the iPhone Air and e-Series?

The iPhone Air is available for ₹95,900, down from ₹1,19,900. That’s a sizeable discount, but the phone still caters to a very specific audience. Unless you specifically want an ultra-thin iPhone, the standard iPhone 17 remains the more sensible option for most users.
As for the iPhone 16e and iPhone 17e, neither offers particularly strong value at these prices. The iPhone 17e especially is hard to recommend when the regular iPhone 16 costs less and offers features such as the Dynamic Island and a dual-camera setup.
iPhone 15 for ₹49,900 Still Worth It?

Finally, the iPhone 15 at ₹49,900 could still work for buyers with a strict ₹50,000 budget who absolutely want a new iPhone. However, in 2026, the phone’s 60Hz display and comparatively weaker battery life make it a tougher sell. Buyers comfortable with refurbished devices may find better value in the used market, where an iPhone 16 can often be found for a similar price.
Flipkart GOAT Sale 2026 Best iPhone Deal

Overall, if you’re planning to buy an iPhone this year, the iPhone 17 at ₹70,990 is easily the best deal from the sale. It brings almost everything most users would want, including a 120Hz display, always-on display, better cameras, faster charging, longer battery life, and 256GB storage as standard. Unless you specifically need the telephoto camera, shoot a lot of RAW photos or videos, or simply want the biggest possible iPhone, there’s very little reason to spend the extra money on the Pro models.
Apple has already massively increased prices across Macs, iPads, HomePods, and several other products, and the company has hinted that more price hikes could be on the way. With memory prices continuing to rise, upcoming iPhone price increases cannot be ruled out either. So if you’ve been waiting to upgrade and were already considering an iPhone, this GOAT Sale might actually be the right time to pull the trigger.
