List of Top Smartphones launching in February 2022 in India

The year 2022 is just 1 month old but it has kicked off with quite a few smartphones like the OnePlus 9RT and the Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G are both in the under 50k segment.

February is already looking packed for the smartphone market in India with several launches confirmed, while a number of others teased and rumored. As the month kicks in, we hope to hear more confirmations soon, but for now, here are all the smartphones that can launch/will launch in February 2022 –

1. Samsung Galaxy S22 Series

After a series of delays, it is finally time for Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S2 Series to finally see the light of the day on February 9, 2022. The tech giant has been teasing about their first Unpacked Event of the year wherein it will launch the much-awaited Galaxy S22 Series and Galaxy Tab S8 Series.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Series will include Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra models. Talking about the S22 Series, the company has claimed that it will be “Noteworthy” which means the Galaxy Note lineup and Galaxy S Lineup are finally becoming one.

Samsung Galaxy S22

There have been numerous leaks about the models of the Galaxy S22 Series. The Samsung Galaxy S22 might have a 6.06-inch FHD+LTPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole design. The Galaxy S22+ will have a 6.55-inch LTPO panel while the Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to have a 6.81-inch LTPO AMOLED display. Both these will have a 120Hz refresh rate too. All the 3 models will come with Dolby Vision, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, punch-hole cutout design, and HDR10+.

The Galaxy S22 series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in some markets and Exynos 2200 in other markets (including India). The storage configuration would include up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage capacity. The smartphone of the lineup will run OneUI 4.0 on top of Android 12 out of the box along with having features like an in-display fingerprint sensor, Samsung Pay, DeX, Bixby voice assistant, Dolby Atmos, and IP68 rating.

There is a difference in the size of batteries as S22 vanilla has a 3700mAh battery, S22+ has a 4500mAh battery and Ultra model has a 5000mAh battery with up to 45W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy S22+

In the camera department, the vanilla S22 and S22+ will have a triple rear camera setup will a 50MP main sensor, 12MP telephoto unit, and 12MP ultra-wide lens. The front camera will be 10MP.  However, the Ultra model will have a quad-camera setup with 108MP primary shooter paired with a SuperClear lens. The other 3 lenses could be a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and 2 10MP telephoto sensors with 3x and 10x zoom and OIS. At the front, it is said to have a 40MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options will include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port, and much more.

According to the latest reports, the Galaxy S22 regular variant will start at around Rs. 60,000 and the base variant for S22+ might cost Rs. 75,000. The highest Ultra variant would cost around Rs. 89,000 in India.

2. Realme 9 Pro & 9 Pro+

We were the first to report about Realme coming up with their 9 Pro Series soon. Now, the date for the launch of the series is confirmed to be 15th February. The specs, design, and color variants have been tipped by Smartprix, and the company’s CEO has confirmed too that the upcoming series will support 5G and be priced above Rs. 15,000. 3. Oppo Reno 7 Series

Oppo is bringing its latest Oppo Reno 7 Series to India on February 4. The series will include 2 smartphones- Oppo Reno 7 and Oppo Reno 7 Pro. The main highlight of Oppo’s flagship series is mostly its camera specs and this will continue with Oppo Reno 7 too.

The main feature of the Oppo Reno 7 Series is that it comes with a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor which is a custom RGBW front-facing sensor. The Reno 7 Pro comes with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with support for DOL-HDR promising a better range.

The Oppo Reno 7 5G is expected to be priced between Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 31,000 whereas the Reno 7 Pro will be priced between Rs. 41,000 to Rs. 43,000 in India.

4. Redmi 11S

Xiaomi has recently launched the Redmi Note 11 Series in the global market. The series has 4 smartphones- Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11S, Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G, and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. Out of these 4, the date for the launch of the Redmi Note 11S in India has been announced. It will be launched on 9th February.

Considering it has been launched globally, we have an idea of what its specs could be. It sports a 6.43-inch FHD+AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and 1000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G96 chipset with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.

Redmi Note 11S will run Android 11 based MIUI 13 out of the box and pack a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. In the camera department, it comes with a 108MP quad rear camera setup and a 16MP selfie camera at the front.

The global pricing of the Redmi Note 11S starts from 279 dollars, which means around Rs. 20,900, but the latest reports claim that its India price might be in between Rs. 16,000 to 17,000.

5. iQOO 9 Series

iQOO 9 Series has already been launched in China and the company has confirmed that it will come to India soon. Although the exact date of launch hasn’t been announced, 91Mobiles claims that the series is coming to India in Feb 2022. iQOO 9 Series will have 2 smartphones- the iQOO 9 and the iQOO 9 Pro.

Leaks claim that there will be differences between the China and Indian variants of the smartphone. Unlike the Chinese model, the Indian iQOO 9 will come with Snapdragon 888 chipset whereas the 9 pro variant would have the same one as the Chinese counterpart (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1).

The price of the iQOO 9 would be similar to the OnePlus 9RT so it will cost somewhere around Rs. 40k to 50k.

6. OnePlus Nord CE 2

OnePlus Nord CE 2 is the successor to the Nord CE which is expected to come to India on February 11. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 in India.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is said to sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and be powered by Dimensity 900 SoC. It might have up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The smartphone is rumored to pack a 4500mAh battery under the hood with 65W fast charging.

7. Vivo T1 5G

Vivo has teased the launch of a new “performance-driven series” called the “Series T”. This series will debut with Vivo T1 5G on February 9 and exclusively sell on Flipkart. The smartphone is claimed to be the fastest and slimmest 5G smartphone in the under 20k category.

The Vivo T1 likely to arrive with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. More details are still awaited.

8. Vivo X80 Series

Latest reports claim that Vivo will launch the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro in India in February 2022. Some sources have already started tipping off the specs of the series. According to the Vivo X80 will be powered by Dimensity 8000 chipset while the Vivo X80 Pro will have Dimensity 9000 SoC. No other details are available about the series till now.

9. Samsung Galaxy A13 5G

Samsung launched an entry-level Galaxy A13 5G smartphone in the US last year. Now, it is gearing up to launch in India in February. Tipster Mukul Sharma has claimed that the smartphone will have a 4G variant of the Galaxy A13 in India.

Since this one has already launched in the US, specs include a 6.5-inch LCD panel with 90Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 700 processor, 50MP triple rear camera setup with 5000mAh battery. Its price in the US is around Rs. 18,745.

10. Redmi K50 Series

Redmi is all set to announce its newest flagship series in February. First Redmi K50 Series will come to China and then move on to other countries. The series is expected to include 4 smartphones- Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50 Pro+ and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. The 4 smartphones are said to be powered by Dimensity 7000, Dimensity 9000, Snapdragon 870, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 respectively. Xiaomi has also teased 120W charging support and the “Dual Vapor Chamber” heat dissipation setup for the Redmi K50 Series.

11. Samsung Galaxy A33 5G

February seems to be a super busy month for Samsung as the brand is all set to launch not one or two, but quite a few smartphones within a few days. We have already told you about Samsung Galaxy S22 Series and Galaxy A13 and if that’s not enough, Samsung is planning to launch Galaxy A33 5G too in Feb.

The device was seen receiving BIS certification wherein the model number is SM-A336E/DS. Renders of the device have also leaked online which shows the phone from all angles.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is said to come with a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, 6GB RAM, and 5000mAh battery with 15W charging. It will come in 4 colors- Black, White, Light Blue, and Orange. It will have an IP67 rating and quad camera rear setup led by a 48MP main sensor.
