Matter Devices : List of supported matter devices available

More than 200 companies' devices will be ready

The new standard created for Interoperability; Matter smart home devices will be available soon all over the globe. There are a few devices that are Matter ready but most of them will be available in late 2022 or early 2023.

Matter is going to change the connectivity of IoT devices in a smart home. Till now, different hubs or switches were being used for devices connected through different standards, and bridging between them was rather complex. With matter, a device simply has to be a Matter device and a Matter controller will work the rest of the magic.

Matter Controllers, devices that have capabilities to command other modules or perform a task. Following is the list of controllers that are Matter ready:

  • Apple HomePod Mini
  • Apple HomePod
  • Apple TV 4K (2022)
  • Apple TV 4K (2021)
  • Aeotec SmartThings Hub
  • Samsung SmartThings Hub v3
  • Samsung SmartThings Hub v2
  • Ubisys Gateway G1
  • Samsung SmartThings App (Android)
  • Apple Home App (iOS 16.1 and higher)

Devices that will be Matter controller ready later in 2022:

  • Amazon Alexa App
  • Echo Smart Speaker
  • Echo Dot (3rd gen and newer)
  • Echo Dot with Clock (3rd gen and newer)
  • Echo Show 10
  • Aqara Hub M2
  • Bosch Smart Home Controller
  • Schneider Electric Wiser-Gateway
  • Google Nest Mini
  • Google Home

Matter home devices that will be ready by late 2022:

  • Eve Energy Smart Plug
  • Meross Matter Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini
  • Eve Motion motion sensor
  • TP-Link smart bulbs

Matter home devices ready by Q1 of 2023:

  • Aqara App
  • Wiser App
  • Tuya Smart life app
  • Eve app
  • Yeelight Smart Light
  • Google Nest Thermostat
  • Schlage Smart Locks

Future smart homes creator will be obligated to check for Matter compatibility to provide full comfort support and ease. Having the control of accessing everything in presence within your palm or voice was the target of this new interoperability standard. In the end, it’s going to matter.
