LG V40 ThinQ, the new member from the “V family” is finally available exclusively on Amazon.in confirming the recent teasers. The phone was launched back in October 2018, and it surely took a long time for LG to bring it to the Indian customers. LG’s V-series is known for high-end specs and the media experience it offers.

LG V40 ThinQ Features

V40 ThinQ is a phablet with a large 6.4-inch P-OLED Full vision display with a QHD+ resolution (1,440 x 3,120 pixels) and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone meets the contemporary design trends and is also IP68 water and dust-resistance certified. The front display features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well as MIL-STD-810G certification for durability.

The LG phablet is powered by a familiar Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 6GB RAM for processing power and multitasking. As for storage, you get an onboard storage limit of 128GB along with an expandable option up to a gigantic 2TB. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with LG’s native skin over it.

There is a dedicated Google Assistant button on the left side to summon the Smart AI at your disposal. You would find the fingerprint sensor mounted at the back. As an alternative security measure, you could rely on the face scan option as well. Thankfully, LG hasn’t ditched the headphone jack with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC. The audio output out of it and the Boombox Speaker could be a muse to your ears.

The smartphone is fueled by a 3,300mAh battery with support for fast charging and wireless charging. So even if the juice drains, you could refuel quickly and conveniently.

LG V40 ThinQ 5 Cameras

LG boasts a 5-camera setup, three in the front and two cameras at the back. The notch island houses an 8MP+5MP dual cameras. This setup facilitates a wide angle shot and the bokeh mode. The back of the phone sports a triple camera setup which includes a primary 12MP sensor, paired with a 16-megapixel 107-degree super wide-angle sensor, and an 8MP telephoto lens with a 2x optical zoom.

Since LG baptized its phones with ThinQ second name, AI has a hand in the photo processing. It has Dual PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) for a 50% faster autofocusing, advanced HDR and exposure modes, Auto White Balance, precise shutter speeds, especially useful when trying to capture fast-moving subjects. Some features might seem gimmicky like the Cine Shot, 3D Light Effect, Makeup Pro, Custom Backdrop, My Avatar, and AR Emoji.

The rear cameras feature a Triple Shot mode with which you could capture a picture from all three cameras in just one tap. Not only that, but you could also view a live preview of the output from the trio before you take a snap. The on-screen slider within the Camera app would also prove handy to adjust the amount of background blur in bokeh shots.
