Reliance Jio has partnered with Google to develop a smartphone that will bring 4G to the lives of low-income consumers in India. Reliance’s JioPhone Next was supposed to be launched in September this year but got delayed due to a shortage of components. Now, the phone is expected to launch in November in India. Ahead of its Diwali launch, the features of the JioPhone Next have surfaced online, as spotted on the Google Play Console Listing. The device has been spotted with model number LS1542QWN.
JioPhone Next Specs
As per the console listing, JioPhone Next will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 chipset and have up to 3GB RAM and up to 32GB of internal storage capacity. The chipset comes with 4 Cortex-A53 cores and an integrated Adreno 306GPU.

The device will have a 2500mAh battery but no revelation has been made about any form of fast charging support. It will sport a 5.5-inch display with 720x 1440-pixel resolution and a screen density of 320ppi.
In the camera department, JioPhone Next will have an 8MP Galaxy Core GC8034W front camera for selfies and a single 13MP Omnivision OV13B10 rear camera with support for AR filters. The phone will also have a new version of Google Camera Go with Snapchat integration. The Duo Go App for video calls will also be available.
Jio has already announced that it is partnering with Google to develop a custom version of Android Go based on Android 11 which will include features like Google Assistant, automatic read-aloud of screen text, and language translation. The smartphone will have pre-loaded apps like JioSaavn, JioTV, MyJio app, etc.

JioPhone Next will launch in 2 storage configurations-
- 2GB RAM+16GB storage
- 3GB RAM+32GB storage
It will be available in 2 color options-Black and Blue.

Earlier reports stated that the JioPhone Next might sell for Rs. 3499 in India at launch. Also, Jio will be offering easy-EMI options for customers to get the device for as low as Rs. 500 following its official launch in India. The launch is expected to happen sometime around the Diwali period in November.
