All Reliance Jio Prime Membership Prepaid and Postpaid Plans Compared

Reliance has started enrolling customers for its Jio Prime membership and also revealed a few more plans and privileges for its ‘Prime’ consumers.

So, for the existing 100 million consumers, the free ride is over and they will have to choose to either leave or accept one of the Jio Plans. The Jio Prime membership offer should help smooth the transition for both consumer and Reliance Jio, which shall be aiming to retain at least 50 percent of its user base.

All reliance Jio members will have to pay a one-time fee of 99 INR between 1^st– 31^st March to enroll themselves for another year of subsidized Reliance Jio privileges. Let’s check the new prepaid and postpaid plans for Jio Prime users.

Before you browse the new prepaid and postpaid plans for Jio Prime users, here are a few pointers.

Key Notes 

• Voice calls are free on all plans, Only Rs. 149 prepaid plan has limited SMS (100/28 days).
• Most relevant base plans are as follows: Rs. 149, Rs. 303, and Rs. 499
• Postpaid users will get only three plans and will have to pay extra taxes as well (15 percent)
• If you are primarily sticking to Jio for Voice calls, the Rs. 149 prepaid plan sounds ideal
• For Jio Prime users, Rs. 303 Plan can be simplified as continuation of Happy New Year Offer
• On top of base plan you can add data boosters, should your run out of data mid cycle.
• Looks like prepaid users will be getting a better deal here, so if you have a postpaid connection you can consider converting it to prepaid.
