Jabra has announced two new TWS earbuds in India, which go by the name Elite 8 Active and Elite 10. Although both are premium earphones, they are priced differently. While the Jabra Elite 8 Active are comparatively more affordable and offer features like active noise cancelation and Dolby Audio, the Elite 10 provides Dolby Head Tracking and costs more. Here’s everything you need to know about the new truly wireless earphones from Jabra.

Jabra Elite 8 Active Features And Price

Jabra Elite 8 Active with IP68 water and dust resistance rating

Unlike other TWS earbuds in the market, the Jabra Elite 8 Active have certification from the US Military Standard for Ruggedized Electronics (810H). This means the device is exceptionally durable in severe weather conditions with high humidity, temperature, rain, etc. Jabra also claims that the earbuds are entirely watertight when submerged up to 1.5m.

While the earbuds are IP68 water and dust resistance, the charging case also carries an IP54 rating, indicating that it’s splashproof. In addition, the new TWS earphone has also passed Highly Accelerated Corrosion Testing (HACT). All these credentials show that the company has put great effort into placing the Jabra Elite 8 Active as one of the most sturdy earbuds.

Per the official press release, the Jabra Elite 8 Active feature 6mm drivers that produce a clear sound. The earbuds generate enhanced surround sound thanks to Dolby Audio, providing an immersive experience. Then there’s adaptive Hybrid Active Noise Cancelation, which adjusts the anti-noise frequencies based on the users’ environment.

Along with ANC, the earbuds also feature Wind Neutraizing HearThrough technology, or in other words, a transparency mode that lets users cut out the annoying wind noise and focus on their surroundings. With the ShakeGrip technology, users can wear earbuds while exercising or doing strenuous activities like running.

Jabra Elite 8 Active in four colors

The earbuds come with six microphones with a wind noise-protecting mesh for hands-free calling. Users can also invoke Google Assistant by speaking the wake-up phrase. With features like Fast Pair, Swift Pair, and Spotify Tap, the Jabra Elite 8 Active also provide up to eight hours of listening time on a single charge, which extends up to 32 hours with the charging case.

In India, the Jabra Elite 8 Active will cost Rs. 17,999, slightly more than what the AirPods Pro (1st Generation) are generally available for. It will be available from September 20, 2023, via popular e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Croma, and the company’s official website. Users will choose from four colors: Caramel, Navy, Black, and Dark Grey.

Jabra Elite 10 Features And Price

Jabra Elite 10’s noise cancelation technology

The Jabra Elite 10 are the company’s first earbuds to support Dolby Head Tracking, which keeps users in the center of the soundstage as they move their heads around. Further, the device also supports Dolby Atmos.

The Elite 10 provide better noise cancelation than the Elite 8 Active by sending infrasonic waves to measure users’ ear canal and algorithms that detect noise leakage and wind conditions for an optimum experience. Further, the earphones also come with a transparency mode.

Wearing the Elite 10 for an extended duration shouldn’t be a problem as they feature the Jabra ComfortFit technology that provides a more natural fit with the semi-open design. Regarding battery life, the earbuds last up to six hours (27 hours with the wireless charging case) with noise cancelation.

Jabra Elite 10 in five colors

The earbuds and the charging case are rated IP57 moisture and dust resistance, support Bluetooth Multipoint connection, hands-free voice assistant, Fast pair, Swift Pair, and Spotify Tap playback. Like the Elite 8 Active, the Elite 10 also come with six microphones for clearer calls.

Last but not least, the Jabra Elite 10 will be available in India for Rs. 20,999, starting from September 20, 2023. Users will have five color options, including Cream, Cocoa, Gloss Black, and Matte Black.
