The cost-cutting spree going on in the tech industry is nothing new, and Vivo is going to be the next big brand to get affected by that. In an official statement, Vivo officials have confirmed that its sub-brand iQOO will get integrated with Vivo pretty soon. The step is being taken to minimize operational costs and skyrocket efficiency. This clearly indicates that the rand is all set to remove a considerable amount of staff.

For your information, most of the people already know that both iQOO and Vivo have been sharing Research and Development (R&D) along with the supply chain since a long time. The only difference between the two was the marketing strategy and distribution channels. Apart from that, e-commerce strategies, media targeting, and planning of Vivo and iQOO are handled separately at this point.

It is being speculated that this move by iQOO and Vivo will eradicate the identity of iQOO for sure, and it will be remembered as nothing but another lineup under the Vivo portfolio. In addition, the management of Vivo has possibly said that the independent iQOO stores and counters will get closed pretty soon.

In the past, iQOO got recognition as a separate entity in 2019. Until now, iQOO has released eight flagship smartphones along with numerous mid-rangers and affordable devices to make a hold on the market. Some of the flagships from iQOO deliver top-notch gaming experiences, making them better than other alternatives available in the country. It has also been seen that all the iQOO phones deliver better performance as compared to other phones in the same price range. It will be interesting to see if the iQOO phones will have the same kind of performance after the merger.
