TL; DR
  • vivo T5 Pro 5G officially launches in India on April 15 with a 9020mAh battery and an 8.25 mm slim profile.
  • Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 powers the phone with 120FPS gaming and ~1.2 million AnTuTu score.
  • 1.5K AMOLED display, 144Hz refresh rate, 90W charging, and IP68/IP69 ratings confirmed.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer vivo has officially confirmed the Indian launch date for the vivo T5 Pro 5G. It’s going to be April 15, 2026. The mid-range handset will be available on Flipkart, vivo India’s official online store, and offline retail channels.

Before you even get to the display or the chipset, there’s one number in the smartphone’s spec sheet that demands attention: a 9,020 mAh battery. That is the battery capacity the company is packing into the phone. It also claims that the vivo T5 Pro 5G is the slimmest phone to house such a battery, measuring just 8.25 mm at its thinnest point.

What Does A 9,020 mAh Battery Actually Do?

According to the company’s internal testing, a single full charge could provide up to 12.6 hours of continuous gaming, 13 hours of live streaming, 12.9 hours of video recording, and up to 90 hours of music playback. The phone also promises to retain 80% of battery health even after 1,200 charge cycles.

In my opinion, the phone should easily provide around 12 to 13 hours of screen-on time, based on usage. That could, in a very real way, translate to a two-day battery life, especially for text-and-call users. The battery also supports 90W fast wired charging.

Does The Rest Of The Spec Sheet Hold Up?

On the performance front, the vivo T5 Pro 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The chipset is paired with a 7,000 mm² vapor chamber for handling thermals. Together, the capable CPU and vapor chamber help the smartphone achieve (or claim, for now) 120 fps gaming in BGMI and Call of Duty

The vivo T5 Pro 5G will feature a 1.5K AMOLED 144Hz screen, a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor, run on vivo’s OriginOS 6, and have dual ingress protection ratings (IP68 and IP69). Full smartphone specifications could either be revealed closer to the launch or at the launch.
