The Korean automaker Hyundai has revealed its premium hatchback i20, the compact eSUV Creta Electric, and the stylish MPV Alcazar in their new Knight Edition avatar. As we already know, the cosmetic kit features an all-black, dark aesthetic applied to both the car’s exterior and interior, along with a few cosmetic enhancements.

However, all the exterior and interior changes come at a price (as the company knows that these create a specific type of aspirational value).

The Hyundai i20’s Knight Edition is available in the Sportz (O) and Asta (O) CVT trims, with prices starting at Rs. 9.15 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs. 11.35 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

With the cosmetic changes, the i20 and i20 N Line now get a new rear spoiler (irrespective of the Knight Edition). On the top model, buyers get a wireless adapter for the infotainment system (which supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) and a dash cam.

The Creta Electric Knight Edition is based on the Excellence trim, featuring variants with both 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs. It features all-black alloy wheels, red brake calipers, black front and rear skid plates, black roof rails, black outside mirrors, a black roof-mounted spoiler, and matte black Hyundai logos on the exterior of the car.

Given below is a summary of the Creta Electric Knight Edition models.

  • Creta Electric Excellence 42 KWh: Rs. 21.45 lakh (premium of Rs. 15,000).
  • Creta Electric Excellence 51.4 KWh: Rs. 23.28 lakh (premium of Rs. 32,000).

Hyundai Alcazar Knight Edition

Like the other two cars, the Hyundai Alcazar’s Knight Edition is also based on the top seven-seater Signature trim. Regardless of the Knight Edition, the Signature trim has been updated to include a dashcam feature. It consists of the same interior and exterior add-ons as the Creta Electric.

The Alcazar Knight Edition Signature petrol (1.5-liter turbo-petrol DCT) costs Rs. 21.66 lakh (ex-showroom, commanding a premium of Rs. 15,000), while the Signature diesel (1.5-liter diesel AT) costs Rs. 21.66 lakh (commanding a similar premium of Rs. 15,000).
