TL; DR
  • Hyundai launches the 2026 Exter Knight Edition at ₹8.14 lakh, a ₹15,000 premium over the standard.
  • Gets matte black badging, dark alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and an all-black cabin theme.
  • No mechanical changes; continues with the 1.2L petrol and CNG powertrains from the standard Exter.

Hyundai has reintroduced the Knight Edition for the 2026 Exter. It is priced at ₹8.14 lakh (ex-showroom), which is a ₹15,000 premium over the equivalent variant it is based on. This is the second time this dark-themed special edition has appeared on the micro SUV since its 2024 debut.

Hyundai’s Exter Knight Edition: Pricing & Availability

The Knight Edition is offered across three trims and four configurations: HX 6 petrol manual, HX 6 petrol AMT, HX 6 CNG manual, and HX 10 petrol AMT. Buyers can select from five color options: Titanium Black, Atlas White, Starry Night, Titan Grey, and Golden Bronze.

Hyundai’s Exter Knight Edition: Key Features & Specifications

Visually, the Exter Knight brings in matte black brand and variant badging and dark gray bumper and side sill garnishes. Depending on the variant you’re choosing, you’ll get either black alloy wheels or dark grey steel wheels, with red brake calipers adding contrast up front.

Inside, the cabin gets an all-black theme with brass accents, along with familiar black semi-fabric seat upholstery, and the new flat-bottom steering wheel introduced with the 2026 Hyundai Exter. Additional features include amber footwell lighting on select trims.

Mechanically, nothing changes, though. The Exter Knight continues with Hyundai’s 1.2-liter petrol engine producing 83bhp and 114Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. On the other hand, the CNG variant makes 69bhp and 95Nm exclusively with the manual gearbox.

I’d say that special editions like this work because they’re low-risk for Hyundai. People have shown interest in Hyundai’s Knight Editions in the past. Further, there are no mechanical changes involved, which means the company doesn’t have to incur any additional engineering cost.
