Huawei has launched Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro to the Chinese market as its next 4G flagship phones. The Pro variant in the lineup arrives in two chipset versions of Snapdragon 888 and Kirin 9000. While the standard model is powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC only. As for software, the phones will run HarmonyOS 2, instead of Android, due to the US-China trade tussle. 

Huawei P50 Pro Specs

Being the top-end model in the series, the Huawei P50 Pro gets a 6.6-inch full HD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. There is a punch hole on the screen housing a 13MP selfie snapper. The quad rear camera arranged in capsule design includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 64MP telephoto lens with a 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, a 40MP monochrome camera, and a 13MP ultrawide sensor.

Huawei P50 Pro variants: Black, Cocoa Tea Gold, Snow White, Dawn Powder, Cloud Waves

The two variants of Huawei P50 Pro are powered by HiSilicon Kirin 9000 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processors. The memory configuration includes up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of ROM. It packs a 4360mAh battery with support to 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

Huawei P50 Specs

Huawei P50 gets a smaller 6.5-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone settles for a triple camera system on the back. It includes a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide angle sensor, and a 12MP telephoto lens. It supports 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. It borrows the same front camera from the Pro model.

Huawei P50 is equipped with a single Snapdragon 888 4G chipset paired with an Adreno 660 GPU, 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB built-in storage. It draws power from a 4100mAh battery supporting 66W fast wired charging. It doesn’t support wireless charging.

The connectivity options for both the model includes 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C port for charging and headphones. The P50-series phones have an IP68 rating and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The devices run on in-house Harmony OS 2 instead of Android.

Huawei P50 Pro and Huawei P50 Prices & Availability

The Huawei P50 Pro comes at the starting price of 5,988 Yuan (around INR 62,100) while the P50 is priced at 4,488 Yuan (around INR 51,700) onwards. The Pro model will hit the Chinese market on August 12 and the standard variant will sell later in September. Huawei has not said a word regarding the launch of P50-lineup to the rest of the world.
