Apart from the mid-range Desire 10 Pro, HTC also brought in its flagship-grade HTC Evo 10, that recently debuted as HTC Bolt in the US. This water-resistant metal body phone doesn’t aspire to be an HTC 10 replacement, but will probably take a place on the next lower rung of the HTC product ladder.

We wouldn’t know for sure as HTC hasn’t announced the HTC 10 Evo price in India yet. The announcement will be made when the phone is available in stock, which is expected by the end of December 2016.

The handset looks a lot like HTC 10, but it’s bigger. You can also submerge it in 1m deep waters for about 30 minutes. Internally, however, HTC has resorted to some questionable choices.

To start with, the handset is powered by Snapdragon 810, which was a terrible chip that the world had to endure in 2015. But what’s HTC’s excuse for choosing this over Snapdragon 820 at the end of 2016?

Secondly, in spite of being bigger than the HTC 10, there is no 3.5mm Audio Jack. You will have to use USB Type-C based earphones and it isn’t yet clear if HTC will be providing a Type-C to 3.5mm jack connector to consumers in India.

On the plus side, the 5.5-inch display has 2K resolution and this is the first HTC phone that’ll be running Android Nougat out of the box. HTC has added 24-bit High-resolution audio to 10 Evo and a feature called ‘Adaptive Audio’ can further adjust audio output in accordance with ambient noise for the best possible experience.

Other notable highlights include 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage, a 16MP rear camera with OIS, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture, 3200mAh battery, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and GPS.
