How to Get a Jio Prepaid or Postpaid Number of Your Choice?

When you go to a telecom operator seeking new mobile numbers, there’s always a set of predefined numbers available that you can choose from. If you want a number that combines your favorite sequence such as lucky number, birth date, or others, you eventually have to wait for that combination to magically pop up or pay a premium to get it.

Presenting Reliance Jio Choice Number, a scheme that lets you choose the phone number of your choice. You can get up to 6 digits on your favorite sequence after a prefix code and that’s all at just INR 499/- at the time of writing this. You can switch both prepaid and postpaid phone numbers using Jio Choice Number. All you need to do is customize your number, choose the one that vibes with you, and pay upfront to book the number, that’s all.

How to Get a Jio Prepaid or Postpaid Number of Your Choice?

Step 01: Go to Jio’s website, and scroll down to find ‘Choice Number’ on the footer under the ‘Useful Links’ tab. Alternatively, search for ‘Jio choose your number’ on Google where the primary result takes you to the proper landing page.


Step 02: Next, the website will ask you to enter your current mobile number to generate OTP.
Step 03: Once you enter the OTP, you will be asked to enter the ‘Name’, ‘Enter your preferred number (4-5 digits)’, and ‘PIN Code’. You can put in your preferred number and the system will generate phone numbers with the aforementioned combination of digits.
Step 04: You will get a tonne of recommended phone numbers that you can choose from. Tap on ‘View More’ to get more listings. Select a preferred number and hit ‘Proceed’.


Step 05: You will get 15 minutes to finally check out with the selected number. You need to pay a sum of INR 499/- which is non-refundable.


Step 06: Hit ‘Pay Now’, select the payment mode, and make the payment.
Note: Your chosen number will be activated in 15 days and you will receive an SMS regarding the required information.
