  • It features a 200MP Samsung HP5 primary camera with a 50MP periscope telephoto at 3.5x optical zoom.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has launched the Reno 16 Pro in its native market, China. The Reno 16 Pro arrives as one of the more complete mid-range packages put together in a while.

There’s a 200MP zoom camera in a triple camera system, a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, and a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, all at a starting price that makes a lot of sense, especially if you look at the competitive brands and offerings in the segment.

Oppo Reno 16 Pro: Key Features

The Reno 16 Pro sports two headline features: its 200MP zoom camera and the 7,000 mAh Si/C battery.

Leading the triple-rear camera system is a 200MP Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto that offers a 3.5x optical zoom lens paired with optical image stabilization. On the front, the phone sports a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, which rounds out what seems to be one of the most capable camera systems in the segment.

Then there’s the 7,000 mAh Si/C battery, paired with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Given the specifications of the phone, the battery should easily provide around 8 to 10 hours of screen-on time, depending on usage. At the heart of the phone is a Dimensity 9500s chipset, which should provide good performance for both daily workloads and gaming.
