TL; DR
  • GTA 6 pre-orders open globally on June 25, with official pricing to be confirmed then.
  • The game launches November 19, 2026, exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
  • India pricing is estimated at ₹7,000-9,000, but has not been officially confirmed yet.

After years of speculation, rumors, and frustrating delays, Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders will finally open on June 25, 2026, globally, across digital storefronts and select retail outlets.

The announcement came alongside the reveal of the game’s official cover art. It features the protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, set against a Vice City backdrop.

GTA VI: Release Date & Eligible Platforms

GTA 6 is confirmed to release on November 19, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Unfortunately, older consoles like the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One won’t be supported at launch.

Although Rockstar Games hasn’t confirmed a PC version of the game, the game will most likely arrive on PCs at a later date, perhaps even in 2027.

GTA VI: Expected Global & Indian Price

Rockstar hasn’t revealed the product’s pricing, but it will do so when pre-orders go live on June 25, 2026. Buyers should be able to place their orders on PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store.

Even so, there are plenty of reports suggesting the game’s standard edition could cost around $70 to $80 globally, which could push the Indian price to ₹7,000 to ₹9,000.

Given that the company has invested a fortune in the game, it makes sense to launch it at a slightly higher price than GTA V or other regular PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S games.

Multiple editions are expected at launch, with varied pricing, likely tiered as Standard, Special, and a Collector’s or Ultimate version, based on Rockstar’s approach with previous titles.

GTA VI: What To Expect From The June 25, 2206 Unveil?

Pre-orders going live will likely be paired with pricing announcements for all editions, possible pre-order bonuses, and the third trailer for GTA VI.

One thing worth noting here is that India’s console gaming market is much smaller than the PC market. Even though PS5 sales have grown steadily over the last few years, the lack of a confirmed PC version suggests buyers will need a compatible console at launch.

I also expect makers to sell the game as a bundle with their consoles to increase sales.
