Even though Apple Intelligence has been available for a while, Indian testers couldn’t get their hands on it. Apparently, the Cupertino-based tech giant decided to roll out the beta version of its GenAI features in a phased manner, wherein users in the United States were the first to test them. However, with the latest iOS 18.1 developer beta, Indian users can finally join the Apple Intelligence waitlist and get an early look at what could be the company’s biggest best against the competition.

How To Access Apple Intelligence In India?

iOS 18 compatibility list

First and foremost, you should be using an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max to leverage Apple Intelligence. Unfortunately, it looks like the GenAI features won’t be available on the older iPhones. Hence, even though you should be able to access iOS 18.1 Developer Beta on other devices in the future, they won’t get Apple Intelligence.

Enroll Into Apple’s Developer Program

Since Apple Intelligence isn’t available as part of the iOS 18 public betas, interested users must sign up for the Apple Developer Program to get the developer betas.

  • For this, they must head to the official developer program website, enter the details related to their Apple Account, sign in, and agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Once everything is in place, users should enter the submit button.

  • Next, download and install the software update on your device.
  • Finally, tap on the new Apple Intelligence menu in the Settings app and select “Join the waitlist.”
  • Once the features are available for your device, you can enable them.

What Does The Latest iOS 18.1 Developer Beta 3 Offer?

Apple has separated the iOS 18.1 developer beta cycle from the iOS 18 public beta cycle to ensure a smooth rollout of Apple Intelligence. The latest version adds GenAI features like a Clean Up image editing tool that helps remove distracting elements from the background of images. Further, the version also supports notification summaries for third-party apps.
