About three months after it first introduced its Honor 8 Lite handset public in Finland, Chinese-origin smartphone maker Huawei is set to unpack the same in India in the coming few days, after the company put it up for pre-orders.

The source behind this news is P. Sanjeev, who is the Vice President of Sales of the Indian division of the company, who posted an image of the phone, which said the phone is set to arrive in the country soon and is open for booking as of now.

Apart from the picture, we are afraid, no other detail about the phone was divulged either by Sanjeev, or any other member of the Huawei top brass (or anyone from the company, for that matter).

Reiterating the intricacies of the phone (which is a toned down version of one of the company’s better phones last year – the Honor 8), it sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display secured by a 2.5D curved glass on the top, and operates on the very latest Android Nougat OS.

Other than that, it borrows most of its design from its elder sibling, but lacks the dual rear camera setup that the latter boasted of, totting 12MP one on the rear, alongside an 8MP on the opposite side.

The processor used here is the company’s very own Kirin 655 chipset, the first half of which clocks 2.1Ghz, with the other one working at 1.7 GHz. The SoC has been mated to 3gigs of RAM, while the inbuilt ROM is 16GB (maximum limit 128GB).

Rounding off the specifications are a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3,000mAh power unit to keep the phone alive.

There’s no word on the price range too, but we expect its price to be within the Rs. 20,000 range.
