Currently available for pre-orders, the Honor 8 Lite, as the name suggests, is a trimmed down, 'lighter' version of the company's hugely popular Honor 8 smartphone. The former essentially retains most of the features of the latter along with the addition of a 2.5D layered glass on top.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Honor 8 Lite boasts of a Kirin 655 chipset made with a 16nm process where the first half is clocked at 2.1GHz whereas the other half clocks in at 1.7GHz frequency. There's also a Mali T830-MP2 GPU along with 4-gigs of RAM to support the same.
Running on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, the phone features a 5.2-inch full HD display and carries a 3000mAh battery to keep things afloat. Along with that, the Honor 8 Lite sports 64GB primary memory that can be stretched to a maximum of 128GB by using a microSD card.
Huawei has decided to equip the phone with a single camera, ditching the dual camera setup that the Honor 8 had. The Honor 8 Lite features a 12MP camera with LED flash on the back alongside an 8MP selfie snapper, for photography.
As mentioned, the Honor 8 Lite is expected to launch in India on May 1, 2017. It will be available in blue, black, white and gold color variants and the Honor 8 Lite best price in India is expected to be around 17,999 INR.
