Made in India Honor Holly 3, Launched Alongside Honor 8 And Honor 8 Smart

Huawei sub-brand Honor has launched Honor 8, it’s toned down variant Honor 8 Smart and a budget offering, Honor Holly 3, in India on Wednesday. The phones comes list a price tag of Rs. 29,999, Rs.19,999 and Rs. 9,999 respectively.  The Honor 8 will be available on both offline and online shores. Honor is offering extended warranty and three-month screen replacement warranty for all Honor 8 buyers.

The Honor 8, which cost more than its Smart variant, comes with a premium looking aluminum design and a 2.5D curved glass on both front and back.  Up front, it comes fitted with a 5.2-inch full HD display and Corning Gorilla Glass Protection. At its heart, Honor has employed its own Kirin 950 chipset octa-core chipset ticking at 1.8GHz, assisted by a smart co-processor.

The USP of Honor 8 is its dual rear camera which is inspired from Huawei P9. It boasts a dual rear camera setup with 1.76-micron pixel, Sony IMX 286 sensor, f/2.4 aperture, PDAF and dual LED flash. Just like the P9, one of the two rear camera sensor captures images on monochrome while other captures it with RGB colors. However, unlike P9, the camera lens used here is not certified by Leica.

Apart from rear dual rear cameras, it bears an 8-megapxiel camera with 1.4 micron sensor, f/2.4 aperture up front. The default camera app also offers a professional mode for photography enthusiasts.

The Honor 8 comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. It runs on Android EMUI 4.1 baked on Android Marshmallow. The software offers Smart Control IR remote, a reading mode, screen recording option and gesture support.

For connectivity, there is a dual SIM Hybrid slot, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-FI,NFC, IR Blaster and USB Type C port. It also flaunts a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

On the other hand, Honor 8 Smart comes with Kirin 650 coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB Storage. Aesthetics of the phone remains the  same. It too comes with a 5.2-inch display with full HD resolution. Unlike its sibling, it comes with a single 13-megapixel rear shooter with Sony IMX214 sensor. on the other side, it sports an 8-megapixel front camera.The Honor 8 Smart is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery which is recharged through microUSB port.

Honor’s Holly 3 also made its debut on the same event. It has a metal frame, a new stylish removable back panel with a crisscrossed pattern. The successor of Holly 2 comes with a 5-inch 720P HD IPS display which is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735P chipset. In terms of memory, it comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB using microSD card.

The Holly 3 houses a 13-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera. In connectivity options, it include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The highlight if the phone is its USP is the massive 4,000mAh battery, which supports quick charging.
